Presumption of innocence

Everyone shown in our videos is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. An arrest, citation or accusation on camera is not a finding of guilt. Video titles are headlines and opening captions summarize the call as reported. Neither is a legal conclusion.

No affiliation

The Chest Mount is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or acting for any police department, sheriff's office, government agency or officer. Our logo is an original design and does not represent any real agency, badge or seal.

Source of footage

Footage comes from public-records requests, official agency releases and other lawfully public sources. Videos may be trimmed for length and clarity and follow platform guidelines, without altering the context of events. Agencies often redact faces, audio or details before release.

Educational purpose & fair use

Our content is published for educational, documentary, news and commentary purposes. Where third-party material is used, we believe it qualifies as fair use under Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright Act, which permits limited use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship and research.

Not legal advice

Our blog posts, the Know Your Rights reference and the FOIA letter generator provide general information only. They are not legal advice and don't create an attorney-client relationship. Consult a licensed attorney in your state.

Viewer discretion

Videos may contain strong language, conflict, use of force and other distressing material.

Corrections, removals & copyright

If you appear in a video and have a concern, think something is inaccurate, or hold rights to material we used, email contact@thechestmount.com with the video link. We review every request.
