This policy covers thechestmount.com. We collect very little.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, and Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to measure visits and to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Our host (Netlify) may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser and pages requested, for security and reliability.
We may also work with additional advertising partners, such as Ezoic and Media.net. These partners and their vendors may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to show ads and measure their performance, and may ask for your consent where the law requires it. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from many participating companies through the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page and the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page. Support payments
If you support us through a service such as Buy Me a Coffee or Patreon, that payment is handled entirely on that service's site under its own privacy policy. We don't see or store your card details.
Forms
When you use our contact form, the Submit a Case form or the case-alerts signup, the information you enter is stored by Netlify Forms and sent to us. We use it only to reply, to review your case, to credit you if you asked us to, or to send case alerts. We don't sell or share it. Display names or handles are published only if you tick "credit me publicly." To have your submission or email deleted, write to contact@thechestmount.com.
FOIA letter generator
The generator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into it is sent to us or stored.
Embedded media
- YouTube: players use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and load only after you press play. After that, Google's privacy policy applies.
- Vimeo: loads only after you press play, with Vimeo's "do not track" option.
- Facebook: the Page feed on our home page loads only if you click "Load Facebook feed." After that, Facebook may set cookies under its own policy.
- Share buttons are plain links. Nothing is sent to social networks unless you click one.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13.
